Sewing on the Road

Good morning, y'all!

We're up in Peru, Illinois visiting hubby's family for the holidays.

Good news is there's a quilt shop steps (yes, steps!) from our hotel.  WOO HOO! I'm planning on doing some exploring today.  The shop opens at 10 am. I've got a half-hour to burn...

Most of my remnant buys.

On the way up we drove through Paducah. And most sewers/quilters know that if you're anywhere near Paducah, you gotta stop at Hancocks for fabric. Oh-my-freaking-gosh... The good part is that we made a stop. The bad part was that I ran out of time!

I completely missed the notions, solids, patterns and books... not to mention the whole decorative fabrics department. I spent most of the time at the end of bolt table where you can buy remnants for $4.98/yard. And yes, they're current fabrics! I'm saving that for a field trip later on.
